New Guidance 28/02
Mon 28 Feb 202228th February 2022
Dear Families,
Welcome back. I hope you all had a nice half term break and welcomed the further easing of restrictions in relation to Covid 19.
I am sure that you will be aware that there is no longer a need for asymptomatic lateral flow testing. However, we still ask that staff members and pupils have a PCR test if they are displaying any of the three main Covid symptoms ( a high temperature, a new and persistent cough, a change to or loss of taste and smell).
If your child tests positive for Covid 19 we ask that they stay off school and follow the existing advice around isolation periods and testing to release (you can find this on the Gov.Uk website or ring the school office for advice). This is in line with Public Health advice to schools. We will also be asking that staff members remain at home if they test positive. This is to prevent unnecessary spread of the virus through our school community.
Whilst we are removing the need to wear masks in and around the school site, we will continue to follow our existing protocols around good hand and respiratory hygiene, ventilation and cleaning.
Should your child become unwell and you require any guidance or advice, please do not hesitate to contact the school office or your child’s class teacher via Dojo.
Yours sincerely
Mrs. A. Oliver

School Community
Wed 16 Feb 2022We have had communications with a neighbouring school today advising us that they received a report of potentially suspicious behaviour near their school. They contacted the police and this is under investigation.
The children in Upper Key Stage 2 have had an additional session in school this afternoon about keeping themselves safe beyond the school gates.
Should we have any further information to share in the coming days, we will pop a message on facebook and the school website.

14/01 COVID Update
Fri 14 Jan 202217th January 2022
Dear Parents & Carers,
From today, Monday 17th January in line with the reduced self-isolation approach, anyone who tests positive will now be able to leave self-isolation 6 days after their initial positive test if they receive two negative LFD tests, 24 hours apart, on days five and six (or later.)
As you will already be aware, from the 11th of January, the guidance for people who are asymptomatic and have a positive lateral flow device (LFD) test changed. This means that any asymptomatic pupils who have a positive LFD test do not need to take a confirmatory PCR test. They should report their result on the NHS website and isolate immediately. Please ensure you email a copy of the NHS notification (Email or Text) to school so we can authorise your child’s absence. The isolation period starts the day of the positive LFD test (day zero) and isolation lasts for the next ten full days.
Any pupil who develops any of the three main Covid-19 symptoms should still stay at home and isolate and it is important that they still take a PCR test; this rule has not changed.
Please contact us with any queries you may have.
Many Thanks
Miss Hughes

Dear Parents & Carers,
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break.
From the 11th of January, the guidance for people who are asymptomatic with a positive lateral flow device (LFD) test is temporarily changing. This means that any asymptomatic pupils who have a positive LFD test do not need to take a confirmatory PCR test. They should report their result on the NHS website and isolate immediately. The isolation period starts the day of the positive LFD test (day zero) and isolation lasts for the next ten full days.
In line with the reduced self-isolation approach announced on the 22nd of December, anyone who tests positive will be able to leave self-isolation seven days after their initial positive test if they receive two negative LFD tests, 24 hours apart, on days six and seven (or later).
Any pupil who develops any of the three main Covid-19 symptoms should still stay at home and isolate and it is important that they still take a PCR test; this rule has not changed.
