  • 14/01 COVID Update

    Fri 14 Jan 2022

    17th January 2022

    Dear Parents & Carers,

From today, Monday 17th January in line with the reduced self-isolation approach, anyone who tests positive will now be able to leave self-isolation 6 days after their initial positive test if they receive two negative LFD tests, 24 hours apart, on days five and six (or later.)

As you will already be aware, from the 11th of January, the guidance for people who are asymptomatic and have a positive lateral flow device (LFD) test changed. This means that any asymptomatic pupils who have a positive LFD test do not need to take a confirmatory PCR test. They should report their result on the NHS website and isolate immediately. Please ensure you email a copy of the NHS notification (Email or Text) to school so we can authorise your child’s absence. The isolation period starts the day of the positive LFD test (day zero) and isolation lasts for the next ten full days.

Any pupil who develops any of the three main Covid-19 symptoms should still stay at home and isolate and it is important that they still take a PCR test; this rule has not changed.

Please contact us with any queries you may have.

    Many Thanks

    Miss Hughes

    Fri 07 Jan 2022

    7th January 2022

    Dear Parents & Carers,

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break.

From the 11th of January, the guidance for people who are asymptomatic with a positive lateral flow device (LFD) test is temporarily changing.

In line with the reduced self-isolation approach announced on the 22nd of December, anyone who tests positive will be able to leave self-isolation seven days after their initial positive test if they receive two negative LFD tests, 24 hours apart, on days six and seven (or later).

Any pupil who develops any of the three main Covid-19 symptoms should still stay at home and isolate and it is important that they still take a PCR test; this rule has not changed.

Please contact us with any queries you may have.

    Best Wishes
