  • 1st February - Strike Information

    Tue 24 Jan 2023

Dear families, as I mentioned last week the NEU teaching union has balloted their members to strike for the first time in 15 years. We have teachers throughout school who are members of the NEU who are in dispute with the government over pay and school funding. As the CEO of Valour schools I respect colleagues democratic right to strike or not strike ,whilst trying to keep disruption for our pupils and families to a minimum. On Wednesday 1st February the school will be open to all pupils with the exception of Nursery. In my opinion the strikes are not likely to be called off but if they are we will let Nursery parents know immediately.

    Kindest regards

    Dame Nicola Stephenson DBE

  • 7th March - Online Safety Workshop Parents

    Mon 23 Jan 2023

On Tuesday 7th March 2023, Julian from GEM education will be holding an online safety workshop in our school hall 2-3pm.

'The workshop will cover the online risks and dangers that all parents should be aware of and support them in protecting their children from these, allowing parents to help their children's awareness to know what to do if they feel uncomfortable about anything they encounter whilst on the internet.'

  • Break the Rules Day!

Next Thursday 19th January, we will be holding a 'Break the Rules' day!

Children are welcome to attend school in non-uniform/costumes/with crazy hair AND we will be coming off menu and having some sweet treats!

If your child normally has a packed lunch and would like a school meal on this day, please send in £2.20 labelled with your child's name and 'Break the Rules' Day or email Miss Hughes in the school office if you are entitled to free school meals to put your child's name down.
