Welcome to Nursery! 

We are always full of busy in Nursery, playing, learning, making new friends and developing skills ready for our school journey.

As we enter the Summer term we will be learning all about life on a farm. We will be getting our sleeves rolled up to act out jobs on the farm such as milking the cows, shearing the sheep and harvesting the crop.

In Nursery we love sharing stories and we have a big focus on developing our children's communication and language skills. Our whole class text this half term will be Hairy MacLary from Donaldson's dairy. The children will be using a story map to help them retell the story. We will innovate the story with our own ideas so that we all become fantastic story tellers. 

We are always getting our bodies moving in Nursery. We aren't designed to sit still for long periods of time. The Nursery children love our daily Squiggle while you wiggle sessions as well as our dough disco parties. All these big movements get our bodies ready for smaller movements needed for writing.
