Red Nose Day - 15th March
Fri 08 Mar 2024Children are welcome to attend school in non-uniform next Friday 15th March to celebrate Red Nose Day. Please make any donations directly to the charity, this can be done so via their website –

Goodbye for now Miss Sewell
Fri 09 Feb 2024We would like to say a big thank you to Miss Sewell, who has been covering Miss Wilmshurst’s maternity leave. She will be leaving us for a little while when Miss Wilmshurst returns. We say ‘goodbye for now’ to Miss Sewell next Friday but look forward to welcoming her back after Easter when she will be coming back to teach year 5 (initially alongside Mrs Ingles and then as year 5 class teacher when Mrs ingles goes off to have her baby). We are so fortunate that Miss Sewell has agreed to stay on with us as she has become such a valued member of our team

Celebration Coffee Mornings
Thu 01 Feb 2024We would like to invite you to a celebration coffee morning in the school hall so that you can share what your child has been doing in school this year. More information will come from the class teacher but for now, save the date!

Reminder of PE Uniform
Mon 15 Jan 2024PE UNIFORM
PE is held twice a week for each class. Please can you make sure that your child comes into school wearing their PE uniform on those days (see curriculum booklet for days)? If your child takes part in an after school club, they should bring their PE uniform in a bag to get changed into if it takes place on a day when they don't do a PE lesson.
Our PE uniform is:
-A purple t-shirt (plain or if you want one with a school logo, they can be bought from Top Class Uniforms)
-Plain Black shorts, jogging bottoms or leggings
-Trainers (or sandshoes)
-A plain hoodie (WVPS hoodies can be bought from -Top Class Uniforms)
-No jewellery (earrings cannot be worn at all and should be removed before coming to school)
Clothing should have no large named labels. Different colours /patterns to the above will not be accepted.

Space Day
Tue 09 Jan 2024On Thursday 18th January we will be holding a ‘Space Day!’ with a Space Themed Lunch. Children are also welcome to attend school in Non-Uniform – We would LOVE to see some Space Themed Outfits!
There will be a variety of galactic treats on offer including rocket dogs, planet pizzas and luna burgers. If your child usually has a packed lunch and would like a lunch on this day, please send £2.20 labelled with your child’s name and Space Lunch into the school office or if entitled to free school meals, email the school office to put your name down. (You only need to do this if your child usually has a packed lunch.)

Christmas Lunch -
On 20th December we will be holding our Christmas Lunch. If your child usually has a packed lunch and would like a lunch on this day, please send £2.20 labelled with your child’s name and Christmas lunch into the school office or if entitled to free school meals, email the school office to put your name down. (You only need to do this if your child usually has a packed lunch.)
Christmas Performances -
Timings are now confirmed for our performances. Due to fire regulations, a maximum of 2 adults per family are able to attend the performance. We will open the hall doors 15 minutes prior to the start time so that you can be in and seated before we bring the children into the hall.
11th Dec – Year 3 and 4 Carol Service at BLUCHER CHURCH - 10am
12th Dec – Year 5 and 6 Performance – 2.30pm
13th Dec – Nursery and Reception Nativity – 9.15am
14th Dec – Year 1 and 2 Nativity – 9.15am
