🪣🟢 THE WALBOTTLE VILLAGE PRIMARY SCHOOL GUNGE SHOWDOWN! 🟢🪣

Get your loose change ready! We are launching an exciting new fundraiser running from Monday until the final week of term to raise money for our School Funds! 💸

The children will be voting with their spare coins to decide which of our brave staff members face the bucket.

    Where to Vote:

🏫 In School: Collection bottles will be available inside school during the day.

🎒 On the Yard: Look out for the collection bottles on the yard at the end of the day during pickup!

Time to rummage through those couches, raid the car cup holders, and empty out those change jars!

🪙 ANY COIN COUNTS! Drop in your 1ps, 2ps, 5ps, and 10ps—every single penny helps push a bottle to the top.

    The Rules:

🏆 The TOP 3 teachers with the most change in their bottles will get gunged!

🌟 BONUS: Any teacher whose bottle gets 100% filled to the top will also get gunged!

The grand gunging will take place on the school field during the final week of term as a special treat for the children to watch! 🎉

Let’s see how much mess we can make for our school! Thank you so much for your support! 🟢👇

  • Year 6 SAT Result Delay

    Published 02/07/26

    Dear Parent/Carer,

I am writing to let you know about a delay to this year's Key Stage 2 (KS2) test results, which affects all schools nationally.

Schools were due to receive results on 7 July 2026. However, Pearson Education Limited, the provider responsible for administering, marking, and returning Key Stage 2 results to schools has informed the Department for Education of a delay affecting the national system used to make results available to schools. Results will now be available on 16 July 2026

Importantly, the delay is not related to the quality of the tests or the accuracy of pupils' results. Test papers have been marked in line with usual processes.

This will not impact your child’s transition to secondary school and no action is required from parents or pupils. We will share results with you as quickly as possible after we receive them on 16 July.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

  • Uniform in Hot Weather

    Published 22/06/26

    ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

An Amber Heat Alert has been issued for the North East by the (UKHSA). Therefore we will be relaxing uniform this week and your child can attend school in their PE Kit.

We appreciate that it may be tricky to get this washed and dried quickly - so as the week progresses, children are permitted to wear an alternative plain t-shirt. Please make sure this covers their shoulders 👕

Please ensure your child also brings a sun hat and a water bottle 💦.

Sun cream should be applied before school - Children can bring in a named bottle for personal use.
