Covid Update 29/04

29th April 2020

Dear Families,

I hope that you are all well and managing to find some positives in this new way of living. Thank you so much to all of you who have shared photographs of the children and your families during lockdown. It certainly looks as though you are all accepting and embracing our situation and making the most of your time together. Keep them coming as they allow us to feel closer to one another.

I continue to enjoy looking at the videos, ideas and activities being uploaded to our school website by staff members. I hope you are all able to view your child’s class page and help them to engage with the suggested tasks. A good routine is important at this time. Thank you again to the whole team for continually evaluating current practice and constantly looking for new ways to engage with you all.

We will all be together again soon and we are hearing some hopeful messages about schools re-opening in the not too distant future. Things are going to be different for a while with talks of rotas and different timetables and you can rest assured that I will be in touch as soon as we have any information about the re-opening of Walbottle Village. The scientists are working very hard to work out the best way to move forward and all that they ask of us is that we continue to follow the advice being given by our government. If we do this, we will beat this and we will be reunited soon.

I would like to thank all of you who are still working hard to keep our country going at this difficult time. We know that there are many key workers amongst our school community and we truly value the role that each and every one of you is playing in all of this. We will continue to stay at home in support of you.

We are missing you all so much and cannot wait to see you all again soon. Stay at home. Stay safe!

With love and very best wishes from Mrs Oliver
