11/05 Covid Update

1st May 2020
Dear Families,

I hope you are all well and enjoyed the wonderful weather over much of the bank holiday weekend. It was lovely to see how people were celebrating VE day whilst in lockdown. I hope you enjoyed your celebrations if you marked the day.

Like me, I am sure that many of you watched our Prime Minister's speech last night. Undoubtedly it will have left you with many questions. His messages have certainly given school leaders a lot to think about and because we only received the information at the same time as you, we do not have all of the answers yet.

Over the coming days government will be formulating a detailed plan so that should the science advise that it is safe to begin a phased opening of our school we know how that should look. I can however reassure you that the safety of our entire school community remains our primary concern and any decisions will be centered around this.

For now we will continue to run as we have been. Your child's teacher will continue to update the school website with home learning ideas and guidance. You and your children are doing an amazing job in such challenging circumstances. Thank you for all of your wonderful photographs and communications. Keep them coming!

With love and best wishes
Mrs Oliver
